White, Virgil D. 1994. Index to Volunteer Soldiers in Indian Wars and Disturbances 1815-1858. National Historical Publishing Company, Waynesboro, TN.

This book was transcribed from microfilm series M629 at the National Archives. I assume that means there are compiled service records at the National Archives for these men.

After finding this I found an index to pension applications (sorry I do not have full reference, poor reasearch). It listed one Carnley, Jeremiah with wife listed as Mary in Alabama. I have ordered this from the National Archives and will post what I get back. Ordered last week and it will probably take a couple of months to get it back.

I am a decendant of Jeremiah Carnley who married Mary Kelly. There is another Jeremiah who also married a Mary that is about the same age. I do not know which served in the Creek War, but hope pension file will give some answers.

I have just found this info and have not followed up, but there sould be service records at the national archives. This service in the Creek Wars would also qualify these men for Bounty Land. Might be another place to look.
