Lewis Carnline bought 160 acres of land from the government at Cahaba when he arrived in Monroe County in 1819. He subsequently bought a second 160 acre parcel from Stephen Wiggins who had bought it at Cahaba. He sold both these parcels to Samuel Kelly on 11 December 1835, about the time he moved to Pike County. His wife was Lovisa, or Levica, not Louisa.
